September 25, 2020
Why do I need this?
So you’d have an easy way of managing your SSH connections.
# Instead of running
ssh joserizal@staging.api.com
# you can just run
ssh staging
Getting started
Add this to your ssh config file, default path is ~/.ssh/config
Configuration file
User andres.bonifacio
Host staging-api
HostName staging.api.com
# wild card
Host production?
HostName %h.api.com
Usage
ssh staging-api
ssh production9
# connects to andres.bonifacio@production9.api.com
